Who Are We?Faculty Advisor |
We are a group of students that are interested in theatre arts and cinema. Our goal is to learn about and appreciate various forms of performing arts but also use that knowledge and appreciation to practical use. That means that students have the opportunity to not only take courses involving theatre and film but also provide the chance to work on theatre and film productions after school.
Jason Schiessl is the faculty advisor and chair of the FATE Department. He holds an MFA in Theatre: Acting from Florida State University/Asolo, a BA in Theatre Arts: Acting and Directing and a BA in Theatre Arts: Secondary Education from Central Washington University.
For the past five years Mr. Schiessl has served on the FLDOE Steering Task Force for End of Course Exams, leading and advising the writer/reviewer teams for EOC development. He has also served on the FLDOE NGSSS New Course Offerings and Standards Development team. On top of his teaching and advising responsibilities at Southeast High School, Schiessl is also an IB Film teacher for Pamoja Education and serves as Head of the Film Department. |
